New direction for newcarpicks.com

Newcarpicks.com is making a bold leap forward to modernize the articles, columns, commentary, reviews and photos for people seeking information on new cars. Buying a new car is a more criticial decision than ever these days, and, as usual, those posted on Newcarpicks.com will be objective and fair, and maybe critical or praiseworthy, but always with the slant through the eyes of the only Minnesota auto journalist reviewing new cars. That means a new car with rear-wheel drive will contain the cautioning note for people who enjoy driving on firm, dry pavement but also must spend half their year operating their vehicles against the most severe tests winter ice and snow can provide.

On this newly fashioned “blog” system, readers who became accustomed to reading automotive reviews on Newcarpicks.com will find this more timely, easier to read, and easier to respond to. Not only that, but pertinent questions that might be of interest to other readers can now be posted, along with my comments wherever helpful.

Meantime, you’ll see follow-up articles on weekly test drives, posted separately from the all-new introduction articles. There also will be a location for more expansive travel stories, whether to exotic locations or on car trips, or to a new-found homemade chocolate shop on the North Shore, or simply while negotiating the many curves and turns while driving through life.

The same goes for sports, where assorted commentaries will now be separated into their own section. Any comments will be welcomed, and, because of our winter wonderland and my personal preference, a lot of it will focus on hockey, including pro, college, Olympic and that Minnesota marvel, high school hockey.

Your comments are welcome…
